ADVENIR 2026 grant for a shared EV charger: amounts and eligibility

Before installing a charger you plan to share via ShareNplug, it's worth knowing what grants exist to reduce the bill. The ADVENIR programme remains, in 2026, France's main national subsidy scheme for EV charger installation.

What is the ADVENIR programme?

ADVENIR is a national subsidy scheme for individuals in co-owned buildings, businesses, and public bodies installing EV charging infrastructure (IRVE). The grant is paid once the installation is completed by an IRVE-certified professional, subject to prior approval of the application before work begins.

Grant amounts in 2026

  • Individual charger in a co-owned building: up to €1,000 excl. tax
  • Shared charger in a co-owned building: up to €1,660 excl. tax
  • Collective infrastructure: up to €12,500 excl. tax
  • Public car park (hotels, campsites, shops): up to 50% of cost excl. tax, capped at €960 excl. tax per charging point

Note: single-family homes are not eligible for the ADVENIR grant. However, a reduced 5.5% VAT rate applies if the installation is carried out by a professional in a home completed more than two years ago — covering both equipment and labour.

What changed in 2026

The tax credit that covered up to 75% of installation cost (capped at €500) ended on 31 December 2025 and is no longer available for new projects. ADVENIR grants dedicated to automotive professionals and short-term rental fleets also ended on the same date. The ADVENIR scheme for co-owned buildings and public car parks, however, remains active.

How to proceed

  1. Get a quote from an IRVE-certified installer.
  2. Submit your ADVENIR application before work begins — a retroactive request is not eligible.
  3. Once the installation is complete and approved, the grant is paid out to you.
  4. Connect your new charger to ShareNplug to start generating income as soon as it's live.
