2025 Tesla Model Y, the best-selling electric SUV

Design and Exterior

The 2025 Model Y sports a new "cyber" style inspired by the Cybertruck, with modernized lines and slightly adjusted dimensions (4.79 m long, 1.92 m wide, 1.62 m high). The headlights, rear light bar, redesigned tailgate, and wheels (19-inch in the Long Range version, 20-inch in the Launch Edition) highlight this refresh.

Interior and Equipment

The cabin, redesigned to resemble that of the Model 3, features new materials and a refined finish. The front seats are electrically adjustable, heated, and ventilated, and the 15.4-inch central display, powered by an AMD Ryzen processor, offers a rich digital experience. However, the lack of head-up display and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility is lamented.

Space and Practicality

The trunk volume is record-breaking (854 dm³ under the roof and up to 2138 dm³ with the seats folded down), and the frunk, although slightly reduced, remains functional. The interior fittings, particularly in the rear with an 8-inch display and fast-charging USB ports, make it particularly suitable for ride-hailing services.

"Performance and handling On the road, the SUV boasts impressive acceleration (0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, or even 4.3 seconds with the Boost option) and excellent road holding, despite city driving being somewhat hampered by its width and large turning circle. On the highway, it's slightly slower than its predecessor, but gains in discretion and comfort thanks to improved soundproofing. FranckDubos
